Celebrity playlist: Rozes

Her picks include tracks from fellow female powerhouses.

Before she became ROZES, Elizabeth Mencel was first a violin-playing six-year-old in Suburban Pennsylvania who looked up to stars like Gwen Stefani and Alicia Keys. Growing up in a musical family led her to start writing her own music in high school before dropping out of college to pursue a full-time career in the industry. She enjoyed her first taste of fame after releasing the hit collab “Roses” with The Chainsmokers in 2015, which spent weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Recently, she teamed up with famed Dutch producer Nicky Romero to release an emotional anthem called “Where Would We Be.”

ROZES curated a workout playlist below for Furthermore featuring the hits that keep her motivated in the gym. “I can't workout if I don't have a way to listen to music. I think a lot of working out is mental, so I use music as a distraction from my thoughts, breathing, and movement,” she says. As for staying healthy on the road, “all I have to do is pack a yoga mat and sneakers, and I have everything I need.”
