The pop-rock singer-songwriter shares his festival-inspired workout mix.
As a cancer survivor and the front man for bands Something Corporate, Jack’s Mannequin and new solo project, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Andrew McMahon knows a thing or two about inspiring music. Emotionally charged songs chronicling the pop-rock singer-songwriter's love life and battle with leukemia have earned him a legion of loyal fans that are often spotted wearing T-shirts emblazoned with his lyrics.
Now approaching a decade in remission, McMahon is more motivated than ever to take care of his body and mind—something that’s become essential with the birth of his daughter, Cecilia. “I want to stay healthy and be a good example for her,” says McMahon. “Juggling home life and touring makes it harder than it used to be, but committing time each morning to working out helps me stay focused and feeling my best.”
To celebrate the start of Coachella—where McMahon is performing both weekends—we asked him to share some of the songs that keep him motivated to stay fit after long days on the road. Check out his festival-inspired workout mix below.
