Unzipped: Mark McMorris

The pro snowboarder shares his obsessions, on and off the mountain.

It was pro snowboarder Mark McMorris who scored Canada's very first medal at the Sochi Olympic Games last year. That was just one of many career highs the 21-year-old Saskatchewan native already holds to his name—he was also the first snowboarder ever to land a backside triple cork 1440, now one of his signature moves. Not to mention, he's and eight time medalist at the X Games.

Even when McMorris isn't on the clock perfecting his big air and slopestyle moves, you can still find him riding the latest pow. "My favorite place to snowboard with friends and family is Whistler," he says. "Love being on Canadian soil." Here, he shares his favorite snow-ready gear.
