Switchfoot beach playlist

The surfers and Grammy-winning artists on how summer should sound.

Music and surfing go hand in hand, particularly for San Diego-based band Switchfoot. The rockers and avid surfers are releasing a new documentary, Fading West, later this summer, which chronicles their journeys (both surfing and musical). They're also releasing an album of the same name, and holding their annual surf contest, the Switchfoot Bro-Am, on July 13 in Encinatas, California. To get your summer started, they shared their ideal playlist for those wind-in-your-hair, sand-in-your-toes kind of days.
