NFL playlist: Tyus Bowser

Hear what the Baltimore Ravens linebacker listens to while training.

As football season heats up, Furthermore is asking some of the NFL’s top athletes to share the songs that get them motivated each week. This Monday, Tyus Bowser, the Baltimore Ravens linebacker, rounds up his top picks.

Tyus Bowser is ready to take on a big role for the Baltimore Ravens this year. The six-foot-three, 242-pound linebacker spent the off-season training with an added intensity to build on the potential he showed as rookie in 2017. Bowser played in all 16 games during his first season, finishing with three sacks and an interception, and winning a Rookie of the Week award.

Bowser came out of the University of Houston as one of the most athletic players in the nation, having played both basketball and football while in college. The 23-year-old beat out all other players at his position in the vertical jump and the 40-yard dash—two of the most important measurements at the NFL scouting combine—and it’s his dedication to his workout program that helps him maintain that level of athleticism.

As much as Bowser enjoys going to the gym, he needs his favorite music to get him started. “This playlist gives me a balance in songs,” Bowser says. “It’s not too amped, and not too serious. It just keeps me loose, relaxed, and in a solid positive mood when I’m working out and training.” Below, the 10 tracks that help him achieve that mindset.
