This citrusy vinaigrette gets its kick from fresh ginger and shallots.
Dressings are a great way to make healthy lunches more kid-friendly, so the whole family can share the same meal. This vinaigrette combines yellow miso—which has a mild, slightly sweet flavor—with acidic lemon, rich tamari, and zesty ginger. Drizzle it on salads, seafood, rice bowls, or as a dip with crudités, says Marissa Lippert, RD, a New York City-based nutritionist and owner of Nourish Baby, a food-delivery service for parents and newborns. Research shows that kids eat more veggies when they’re paired with a sauce.
