My beach essentials: Playa founder Shelby Wild

What she carries with her from coast to coast

After moving from New York City to Venice, California in an effort to simplify her life, Shelby Wild found herself quickly adapting to the laid-back lifestyle of her new homebase. Wild decided she could bottle that spirit in the form of a haircare line called Playa. “Playa has been deeply shaped by Venice Beach and my experience living here,” she says. “Since moving to Cali, I have been able to reconnect with nature and slow the pace of life.” While Wild lives in a semi-permanent state of summer on the West Coast, she looks forward to planning trips for the season. Below, she shares the essentials she’ll be packing for her vacations to Greece and Montauk.
