The red carpet at this year's Golden Globes was mostly full of fashion hits. White gowns had a big moment, featured on everyone from Laverne Cox to breakout (and double nominee) actress Alicia Vikander. Winner Taraji P. Henson stood out in white—and her Stella McCartney-designed dress boasted a feature that was also trending last night: the cape. Off-the-shoulder ensembles and dresses featuring capes dominated many of the best dressed actresses at the Golden Globes. And in order to make this style a success, strong shoulders are a must. From Kate Hudson's shoulder (and tummy) baring crop top to Jennifer Lopez's Old-Hollywood-esque yellow cape, it's clear shoulder exercises were key to completing last night's major looks.
